Makes the OEM air shocks an absolute \\;\\\\\\;JOKE. \\;\\\\\\; \\ ;\\\\\\;
 \\;\\\\\\;
Consistent smooth ride \\;\\\\\\;and I have never \\;\\\\\\;adjusted since finding the sweet spot 15,000 miles ago.
 \\;\\\\\\;
I got the 11.5" - helped lower the rear a bit and keeps the feet planted.
 \\;\\\\\\;
Good luck - lots of choices.

Progressive I installed 412s on mine shortly after I bought it and have never looked back...The ride improved twice over from the stock junk ones.....I weigh 250 and the wife weighs 140, much better than the factory so called air ride!!!! hope this might help ya....
I'm running Progressive 440's with standard springs. I weight 170# and ride solo, so if you're at 240# you may need to go with the HD springs. I almost bought some Works shocks but decided against them after reading an obscure note in their FAQ that the shocks may or will need service every 30-40k at $80 per incident, IIRC. That's 2-3 years for me requiring the shocks to be shipped to CA, and didn't like the idea. Progressive claims their shocks can last >\\;100k miles without service, depending on conditions, and have a lifetime warranty.
These 440's are better than the 12" shocks that were standard on the SGsmoother and better controlled with less bottoming. I have the 12½" version.
