When I push the bike backwards I get a clicking noise coming from the transmission sprocket area. \\;What might it be as it only started recently? \\;I checked the drive belt and it appears okay and adjusted correctly.
Took it to the stealership two weeks ago and first response from tech was belt to tight/loose. \\; Said no way checked that already. \\; Got him to put on rack to check and low and behold said it wasn't belt could be inner primary bearing or tranny bearing as he has seen a few of these lately. \\; Service was booked till 2nd week of August. \\; Was able though to get in last Tuesday. \\; They did not start on it till Sat. \\; and then could not get the noise to happen. \\; Found out they did not get it hot so they ran it and the noise appeared. \\; Now waiting for parts to replace the \\;inner primary bearing and \\;transmission bearings. \\;
FYI
 \\;
Those interested or hear a clicking noise from primary area when pushing bike backwards. \\; They replace the main drive gear needle bearings (one was scored) and the primary bearings (nothing found wrong with them) and all is fine now
I had the same thing happen. On mine they changed out all the bearings and the output shaft. \\;I had heard the ticking but only once or twice, what tipped the wrench off was the metal shavings on the drain plug.

We would like to know the cause? Lack of oil? A bearing rides in and on something? What other parts needed to be replaced?
