I was doing \\;a super cleaning job on my 2007 Road King that has about 8000 miles. I noticed that the chrome on the small hub that the spokes on front wheel are secured to have several area's where the chrome is flaking off. I don't know if this is normal but it looks like cheap import quality. I would assume that eventually those area's could rust and \\;possibly compromise \\; the structural integrity of the wheel. Am I being too picky, will warranty cover poor quality or should I just start looking for after market? It really irritates me to spend all that money on a new bike and then have it start to go south in such a short amount time.
yeah I have the RKCustom with the mag wheels and my chrome has flaked off as well. I live on the beach though and I assumed that had something to do with it. I probably should ask if it is covered under the warranty. Keep us posted on what you find out.

MY EMBLEMS ARE COMING OFF AND MY LIFETIME LOVE AFFAIR OF HARLEYS IS OVER. MY 49 PAN WAS LESS TROUBLE AND BUILT TO LAST. My AMF HD was fun but had its problems. My CVO Ultra has been a huge disappointment and Harley doesn't give **** . . . therefore . . . . next bike . . . .sadly an import, but a lot a HD crap is from China anyway. Its been quite a ride, but its nearing a parting of ways. Good luck to the rest of you in your dealings with a failing company. Its not going to be the first time for them.
