I just retrieved my Road King from 1K service at the dealer. \\; I had them put Harley Syn 3 oil in al three holes. \\; I read the threads about the different oils, and I know Syn 3 is not real popular, but I wanted to start off good with the service department, so I let them sell it to me. \\; Anyhow, I put on about 175 miles today, and the one thing I noticed is how much eaiser it shifts now. \\; Even after a long ride, finding neutral is no longer a challenge. \\; Just thought I would pass it along, for whatever it is worth.
I am using Syn3 and have no complaints in spite of all the negative comments on here about it coming from Citgo and Venezuela. I have spent more time in Venezuela than I have in the Mideast and I like Venezuelan women and their oil.
If you were that blown away with the syn 3 in the trans, you would pee your pants with excitement if you tried a quality gear lube like redline or spectro.
The dealer didn't **** me off with the 1 K service, so I figure I will stick with him and his products at least until the warranty runs out. \\; I don't want to argue with anyone about when service was done or who did it. \\; After that I may check out some other products. \\; Meantime, the Syn 3 will get changed often enough that it should do the job well enough.
