Already had 1 replacement. Now the exact same problem. All sounds quits while riding(even wth ipod). Turn radio off and back on , plays for another 5-10 min. This 1 replaced last yr. What's the warrenty? 2 yrs.? or 1 yr.?
Call Iron Cross...My radio had the same problem and HD wanted me to wait 4-6 weeks for a replacement. Iron Cross is the best they fixed my radio for a $250 flat rate and I also had them add a ipod cable that also charges my ipod and a set of RCA plugs to connect my ARC amp in the rear of my HD radio. IMO the HD radio will hold up best to vibration and weather elements than a aftermaket radio. It will be the best $250 you can spend on a radio for your bike and comes with a 6 month warranty. You can also buy a additional 6 months for $50.00.

2 years on a new bike warranty and then the extended kicks in if you have that. I think my 3rd radio is getting ready to go out again just a couple weeks before my 2 years. I believe under the extended warranty they push refurb units. If mine goes again I will just send it to iron cross. I've never heard of anybody having any problems after they service them.
When my radio started giving me problems I talked to the guys at the dealer first, then I called Iron Cross. I just didn't want to keep having to do the back to the dealer thing and waiting for weeks to get another radio.
Just as I thought. I'm going to send to Iron Cross when I repair this time. Just a matter of when now. Talked to some folk over there, a couple of days turn around.
Thanks guys.

I'm having the same issues with my 2007 Ultra. Volume just cuts off. I have to shot the radio off then back on. Sometimes that will last for 20 mins abd sometimes for hours.
Any one have this issue? I believe it's in the radio.
Had this, dealer replaced radio. It got progressively worse as I waited for new radio.
yup, mine is on it's way out, does it a couple times a day now. BTW, not sure if anybody has mentioned this yet or not, a temp solution instead of powering the radio off and rebooting is to toggle the speaker rocker switch but even this will stop working after a week or so. will be sending mine to iron cross in a couple weeks. wonder if i have the record, 4th radio within 2 years BTW, the more times you take it to the dealer to have it replace the longer they take. i believe this is a function of the MoCo bureaucracy where they scare the dealer into thinking that they will have to pay for the replacement if they don't trouble shoot the problem.
