clacking sound in drivetrain - IDS?
I have 15000 miles on my 07 Ultra. \\; I had a new tire and IDS installed at about 11000 miles and \\; they also adjusted my clutch. \\; Every since then, I notice a clacking sound in the drivetrain. \\; If I go over a bump a certain way I can hear it. \\; Also, if I have the clutch all the way in and rapidly let it out about half way, I can hear the clack. \\; I'm wondering if the inner and outer parts of the IDS are hitting metal on metal causing the noise. \\; I had the IDS installed more as insurance than anything. \\; I didn't have a real loud whine in 5th. I could also go down to 50 mph in \\; 6th without any problems. \\; I have about another 8 months left on my warranty. \\; I don't want to fork over $1500+ for an extended warranty if this is \\; design issue. \\; I'm wishing I would have bought a Beemer now. \\;

#1 - it's a question you SHOULD be askin' the dealer, ain't it?

Good luck with the beemer, when telling two different dealers I had a scoot to trade they both said they'd take anything but a BMW, they can't get rid of them. \\; Didn't ask why 'cause it didn't matter. \\; Talk to your dealer, if all else fails, he'll find a loving home for your scoot. \\; Happy trails...
