2009
I was in New River Harley and they had the 09 Sporties on the Floor. They said the rest won't be out till the end of the month or for that matter any info on them. Until I mentioned the Harley meeting next week. Then the jackass responded yes the info will be out then.

New River Harley Davidson sucks ***. Theyu don't even give a Military discount located right across the street form a Marine Corps Base and they won't even give me 10% off a t-shirt.
 \\;I recommend everybody goes somewhere else. The staff are all a holes.

So Cal is right as usual. But let me offer some additional points of view on discounts. Why should a dealer give a discount? Perhaps because you purchase a bike from him or maybe because he is overstock on certain items. Automobile dealers give discounts and rebates for one simple reason. Their product is not selling.When and if HD stops selling they will discount because of that. They will not do it because you may be a HOG member,a boy scout a girl scout a Lyons club member a Rotary Club member or a Military member. Short of SHRINERS,FIREFIGHTERS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS dealers generallly do not discount. Some do of course but most do not.Some dealers do not, even for Shriners,Firefighters or Law enforcement.If our government could keep secrets as well as Harley we would probably not be in as much trouble as we are.Last time I checked our military was all volunteer and pretty well paid although many would try and have you believe otherwise. Ask any service station owner to give a military discount on gas and see what they say. You will probably get more dealers giving discounts on Harley stuff. Anytime a dealer discounts and tells you it is because you are in the military he is lying. He will do the same thing for anyone who bargains on a model that is not moving. Dont believe me? Go in to any dealership and buy any 105th Annivesary model and dont tell them you are military. After you make your best deal then tell them and ask for an additional discount and watch them scurry. Hope this helps
"pretty well paid"

Not in my unit. Spend a \\;few years in \\;as an 11B and then tell me your well paid. Try humping a 90lbs ruck, a 30 lbs M60, 200 rds of ammo, and 1 gal of water up and down mountains for weeks in **** weather with a \\;couple of hours of sleep. You have no \\;clue what what the troops put out and that was a bullshit statement! \\;

If you want to make alot of money then go to school and get educated or learn a high paying trade. Unless you were drafted nobody told you to sign up and go into the military. I respect military people for what they go thru but no one forced them to do it, most I know do it because of the love for their country not the money.
