The software was nothing more than a download (06A MAP)...the mechanic told me that he downloaded it off of their site?

He got it that morning and installed it with a laptop when I came in that afternoon.

The injectors are another thing...they took about 10 days to come in.

Ok so now I am really confused. The new injectors are in the bike, they said they spoke to Harley who told them the download was back ordered. I don't want to do a "I told ya so" and **** them off but on the same token I do not want to be without my ride for 2 weeks.

This statement has me confused.

It is just software that the dealer can download at anytime thru HDnet.

How can it be back ordered????

The only thing I can think of is the MOCO is fiddling with it because the download has problems.

If you have done the stage I upgrade and have non harley pipes you might not want to get the new flash as it is liable to lean it out again. Aren't the new injectors flowing better?

I have been reading the comments in this post. The problems you guys are describing sound a lot like what my bike is doing. Thing is I have an 05 RK Custom? Has anyone heard of this same issue with any 05s? It has gotten so bad, that today I called them to pick it up, because I don't think it is safe to ride. It keeps trying to stall, feels like it is about ready to run out of gas. Engine light came on at one point. Noticable lost of power. I almost couldn't make it up my driveway.

Any thoughts? they are coming tomorrow.

I was having the same problems with stalling and the popping. I took it up to the shop and they said it was the exhaust and I needed a power commander. So, I went home, pulled the re-call, took it up to the dealership, and told them I was having these problems and to please fix it. Two weeks later, I got the injectors. All is well, if not better. It feels stronger with better throttle response, and no stalling or sputtering. They left the stage one flash on the bike, because they said if they reflashed it, it would run too lean and I would have the same problem I started out with.

I went and spoke to my dealer today regarding the download being on back order. He told me that he can get the 06A from the computer but there is a new download that they are releasing on the 27th. The 06A is a stage 1 with air cleaner and pipes "street legal" the one they are releasing on the 27th is stage 1 "for race aplications only" He is going to get that one for my bike and that is the cause for the delay. He stated he did do one earlier this week where the guy only had slip on pipes with the 06A and it ran awesome. He also told me I probably wouldn't need the power commander with the new download. After it is done, I do plan on taking it to the local dyno guy to see if he is correct.

I had the SE slip-ons when they downloaded the 06A MAP; the bike really perked up afterwards.

I bought the bike one month ago today and just passed 2800 miles on my way home from work today...getting a consistent 41 miles per gallon
