Anyone have experience with installing a Harley amp (the one that mounts under the trunk) on an Ultra Classic? I'm wanting to know if the existing wiring can be used to connect to the amp or if all new wiring needs to be done to support the rear mounted amp.
I have an elf amp on its way to test and compare to the ARC it appears that the Elf unit is a ARC knock off, I will put it through its paces and let ya know
Good looking lids Street Star I bet they sound good.
Yes the alpine pdx amps are good sounding units. I handle Alpine also
Dumb question (I haven't been under the fairing yet): Does the stock radio have outputs to plug into the amplifier?
I am trying to find the cheapest way to power the rear speakers that came on the used tour-pak I bought. I was planning to just tap into the front speaker wires, but am thinking that the sound will go down. I was thinking to get a very cheap amp, like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Black-Stereo-Hi-...d=p3286.c0.m14
What would I have to do to make this work on my '07 FLHX
The stock HK does not have low level outputs. The ARC and the amp you linked to ebay have high level inputs (speaker level). The dealer can activate the rear channels on the HK for four speakers if you want to go that route.

The problem I see with that amp is the tonk'e tonk twa will be to ting tawe peese awh sh-it.
Just kidding, The cheapest route would be to run 4ohm speakers front and rear so your head unit would see a 2ohm load (assuming you have a HK headunit). Option 2 would be hogtunes amp running the fronts (about $219 I think) and the head unit powering the back. PM Pez for price on his amp. Option 3 Would be to PM Firecap and get a ARC 125.2 for about a $110 more and let the head unit power the back, although you won't be able to hear them.
You can not beat the ARC 125.2 mini. And yes you can use the ARC equipment without loosing the use of your handel bar controls. Anyone can send me a PM for more information.
yup, arc audio and firecap501 will take care of you...
