Did mine awhile back too, more worried about scratching **** than the job itself. Couple hours and alot $$ saved. No big deal for those of u thinkin about chrome lowers, go ahead and do it. Plenty of help here.
Thanks Carl. I have come very close to doing the chrome brake calipers believe me. Not sure if I want to give up the way my black ones contrast against my chrome wheel though. Hmmmm.....I'm guessing all there is left to do now is add some go-fast juice. Shooting for an HQ build this winter.
Jerry,
Just post when you get your '09 and you're ready to do this. You can even call me and I'll go over it with you if need be. PM if/when you need some help.
Thanks to all for the feedback. To those inquiring about the front wheel size, it is an 18". The illusion of making it look like a 21" is created with my lowered front fender with NativeCustomBagger brackets.
PS> EvEr34, that Glide sure is sweet looking bro.
love the front fender. i'll be going that route this winter, was it hard to do cause it looks like the rivets were also removed too. did you have a shop do it?
