I believe that someone on the Touring Forum rides with one leg amputated. I have a friend that is in the same situation (prosthetic leg) that wants to continue to ride. If you are that individual or know of such individual, will you please PM me. I have a couple of questions to ask.
A friend of mine's wife lost her left leg in a motorcycle accident years ago and still rides. Her husband setup her Triumph Bonneville with the shifter and rear brake on the right side. It's not that hard to do on the Triumph. If you need to contact him call Henry's Motorcycle in Kingsport TN.and ask for Henry. He can help you much better than I can.
Have a close buddy that lost his leg (left) many years ago. We just modified his shifter a bit and he goes every where with us. Only problem he had from the beginning is that the release button was to much to the inside and every once in awhile he would hit the release button and lose his leg.... He has since replaced that leg and got the release in a different location and we installed a elect shifter they work GREAT!

Hi mrsr71,
I'm Hack and I ride. My right leg is gone above the knee and I am able to ride because I have a sidecar.
I hope you got your questions answered. We have a friend who has a prosthesis leg (from the knee down on the left side). He has fashioned his sportster with a kick stand strap. He is still able to shift fine, and he can put his bike on the kick stand with the aid of the strap. Works for him.

One man in my HOG rides a trike with an artifical leg and I have seen a modified Gold Wing around here. That guy straps his crutches to the back of the GW. If you want to ride, there is always a way to git 'er done.
