"Has anyone had any luck organizing your MP3's into folders before burning them onto CD. Another member reported doing it successfully, but he never responded as to what software he used or how he did it. I would like to put individual albums into folders so I can sort through them and play them when I want. Other members reported that the HK stereo didn't recognize the folders."
The HK stero does not recognize the folders. It just plays the songs in order, unless you choose "Random" or Repeat. Another posted the same as I do: Label the CD with the numbers of songs.eg. Bob Seger 1-15 etc. Then just forward to his songs.
Wecroft also stated an important point. I use Nero to burn the CD. When it asks you what you want to burn; select ---Data CD--- not a Music CD. I get 125 to 160 songs on one CD.
Data and music dics differ in that the music dics cost more and already have royalty fees built into their price. I have a CD burner in my stereo system also and have to use music CDs on it. Music CDs work in a computer, too, but a data disc won't work in a stereo burner. Make sure you have your settings for burning set to the correct settings, as there other types of encoding besides .mp3 (aac, wav, etc).
