I have not owned a Harley since 1974 and and thinking of the 2009 Ultra or 2009 Goldwing,
What say you all, Harley riders pro and cons, any info would be appreciated.
First post eh? I suggest you go put on a fire retardant suit, hose yourself down with the water hose, jump in the swimming pool and dive towards the bottom and stay there for awhile. It's gonna get hot in here and may actually cause a casualty or 3.
I give this 20 posts and then it will be in the Recycle Bin.
Eitherway..........welcome.
PS....forgot to mention I'd rather wrench on a Harley than ride a Honda

+1 LOL It's going to be hard to get an unbiased opinion here. I will say that the GW are good bikes. But I will stick with my Ultra, just something about a HD that speaks to my soul. Boy that sounded sappy.
I'm sure the Goldwing has a number of good qualities that could be enumerated on the Goldwing site, but there is nothing, and I REPEAT NOTHING, like the new 09 Ultra. That's why they call it the ULTRA. And like my sig: says, there are two kinds of bikers, those that ride HARLEYS and those that wish they did. You fit in category #2. Now go buy the ULTRA, or run kicking and screaming to the Goldwing site and cry about how bad you were treated on the HD Forum. LOL. CCRyder
I think a person who buys a Harley wants to feel the bike through all the senses. A Goldwing driver wants a motorcycle that doesn't offend any of the senses. If looking at the engine doesn’t add to the pleasure of owning the bike, then you likely want the Goldwing.
