Hi Folks

HD gloves are made by Gerbing. Actually I have the Gerbing brand of gloves, jacket liners (2) and thermostat. I did buy an extra HD thermostat for the wife's liner though. The gloves as well as every Gerbing article comes with a wiring pigtail...(a wiring harness that connects directly to the battery with a connection point for the connectors on any item to plug into.) The gloves also come with "Y" wiring so that one end plugs with each glove with the Y part and the single end then connects to the battery pig tail connection point were ever you have located it. I never use the gloves alone like this since if it is cold enough for gloves I wear my jacket liner too. That way I plug my jacket to the pig tail connection and the gloves plug into the connections at the end of the sleeves on the jacket liner. It makes for no wires hanging around loose like the glove's Y connection would. That is a simple non thermostat hook up. But of course I have the thermostat which means my jacket plugs into it and it into the pig tail. If I had the pants, the pants would also plug into the jacket liner, socks into the pants for a complete system. It's hard for me to explain all this but I hope you get the drift of the connections. I would suppose HD gloves come with the same wiring Y and pig tail that the Gerbings did with mine.

Buy the "Y" connector, run one wire down each sleeve so it hangs out about 3 or 4 inches with the other end hanging out at the jackets waist. ( I run mine under the zip out lining ) Run your battery connector from the battery under the seat and hang it out the left side. When you get on the bike plug the the two together and then plug up the gloves. A thermostat can be connected as the gloves can get quite hot. You may need to ask the parts people for a female connector to modify the battery tender male end that HD puts on some bikes. Good luck, its not as hard as it sounds.

Just on a side note to the question about the cig. lighter connection.... On Gerbings site under accessories you can order the adapter to connect any of their heated gear to the cigarette lighter.
