I have a 09 SG on order and plan on having a SE 103" stage II Kit, installed before I pick up the bike. I'm curious, what type of fuel economy are you guys getting with your 103" motors? Now I know not everybody is going to get the same fuel econony and it's going to depend on driving styles, what type of kit is used etc. But I'm just trying to get a feel for a round about figure. I will be using the bike for commuting back and forth to work.

Thanks.
I estimate I lost about 4-5 MPG to the 103 kit on my 07. I commute 40 miles each way to work, 98 percent on I-80 (75-80 mph) and I would get 200 miles to a tank, with about 1/3 gallon left. Im a pretty mellow driver. Speed limit +5 for the most part.
My buddy with his 96" 07, with stage 1 and true duals, would normally get about 30 more miles out of a tank that I would, when we rode together.
I've got an '08 SG with a 103". My fuel mileage varies depending on how I ride but I consistently get between 45 - 50 MPG....I've even been over 50 a few times. I rode a tankful yesterday and did not do as well but that was on a bunch of twisty back roads riding down a gear most of the day. I think it all depends on the tune they put on the bike when they dyno it.
I normally get about 37mpg when I ride locally. I took a 600 mile ride through Yosemite and the Sierra last weekend and I averaged just over 45 mpg. But my 103 is only stage 1.
Here in central NC we do good to get 40-43 on the highway with a stock 96ci. I hear that those at higher elevations can get better. When you have these stage II kits installed and up the CI it seems you take in more fuel and air to create the + HP. Seems MPG would go down a bit but I'm no mechanic and have never done it. Hope it works out good for you.

I rode 2,800 miles earlier this month to Sturgis and the scenic rides while there. Over all I averaged 43 mpg with a high of 48 and a low of 38. I have the 103" stage 2 kit with SE 255 cams. I didn't see any change from stock mpg.
