Default Leaking oil from clutch cable adjustment

I have a 2001 Ultra Classic that is leaking oil from the clutch cable adjustment. Is this a sealed fitting that needs to be replaced or is there other problems that I should address? Or will a clutch cable replacement take care of this?

If it is leaking at the end of the cable at the transmission cover, try to tighten the hex nut on the end of the cable. There is also an o-ring there for sealing.

My 07 Ultra Classic was leaking and I had it replaced. They said that after a while this happens.. I guess the O ring dries up.

Wow - an '07? That's not much of a "while". Seems like it shouldn't be a problem so soon.

Mine leaks on a 08, not enough to drip, just enough to collect dirt.

+1 on my '07. No big deal. Hey, it's a Harley. What do you expect?
