Get a copy of the HD Parts & Accessory catalog or go to the HD website and you will find that you can entirely replicate the Tour Pak, speaker pods, passenger controls, etc. on a SG that's identical to the Ultra--however, it's probably going to cost north of $2K or so. Many find that a TP and backrest are sufficient for the wife, without the speaker pods, etc.
yes i used the road glide ultra style w/o pin stripes for my sg. I have the ultra light bars all hooked up and the rear speakers. It is very close to 2 k to complete. Looks great though!
I waited and waited watching ebay and got lucky to find a color match (white gold pearl)ultra tour pak for $900 for my SG. so i guess w/the detach hardware i'm at $1100. a guy on ebay made my Y-cable so i tap into my facia light and lights work...just need to hook up the rear speakers (winter project).
hey 07flicks...what route did you go w/the rear speakers hook up?
I put the HD King Pac on my '07 SG, it doesn't have the speakers but it is set up for the passenger. I think it looks good and I can carry SO much more junk!!
Um... Yes, you can do that. I didn't do the brake lights on the tourpak, but that was a personal decision, not a technical limitation. And on THIS bike, the tourpak is permanently mounted, using the Ultra mounting bracket. (note license plate up under the tourpak, instead of down on the fender)
why not get the ultra in the first place 2000just for the tour pack next add lowers and a cb then floorboards think it would be cheeper to strip the ultra to look like the sg.

Factor in new wheels, gauges, gauge trim rings, tank console, turn signals, rear fender facia, new fenders, rear shocks, and a new paint job, and see how you come out money wise by stripping the Ultra.
Taking the trunk and lowers off does not a Streetglide make.
BTW, the tour pak is more like $1000, not $2000.

That's basically what I've been doing putting the removable tour pack on my EGlide Classic. I absolutely love the handling without that high weight in the back, but just a quick few minutes and I can load back up and the wife and I can head off where ever we need to go.
