Default '09 model comments?

I haven't seen many comments about the '09's. Just curious as to how they're stacking up against the previous models in rider satisfaction, reliability, problems etc.

How about those new wheels? I liked the look of the old design much better.

Guess you haven't been on the site recently. There are many threads about what your asking. As far as reliability, maybe wait 6-12 months and ask that question again.

Plenty of feedback on the 09's so far. Search for post by ww1flyingace for a real good review of his 09 Street Glide.

Default 09 Ultra

I purchased an 09 Ultra Classic a few weeks ago after much research on the new bike, I really like it, it is just what I have been looking for to travel on....It has taken me a long time to move up to the papaw bikes, I still have my old 1957 panhead I have had since 1969 and a 1995 softail....the wider rear tire and redesigned exhaust are great, I really like them getting rid of the throttle cable, since I have had several break over the years while on the road a long way from home.....in my opionion, I think the 09 Ultra is the best bike they have come out with.

The first thing most have said when approaching my 09 FLHR is about the wheels. They are really striking compared to the subdued spokes of my 2001.

+1. Usually people don't realize I am even on an 09, they usually just comment on the nice wheels... I didn't like picks of the either, but in person on the bike I like them just fine.

I looked at a 09 Ultra yesterday, the wheels are different but nice. The rear fender looks wide to cover the fat new tire, and the exhaust is also different. Overall it looks like we'll have to wait for overall reliability issues to pop up. I don't think there is anything really different mechanically overall, or am I missing something?

I've only had a chance to put about 500 miles on the '09 SG, but so far so good.

+1.....the wheels were one of the best visible changes in my opinion, along with the 180 tire and fatter rear fender... I love it.
