any of you guys got any good info on this crankshaft issue on the 07's ...is there build date's that are suspect ? are the cranks slipping on the pin or was it just poor quaility control during assembly ... my 07 rkc has 5000 miles on it with good oil pressure 12-14 idle and 30-34 going down the road and was built 4 or 07 any good info is much appriciated

Don't think the build date has anything to do with it. Mine was built 03/07 and has had .007 runout on the sprocket since 6k. I checked it when I was doing some comp work to it. Don't know what it is now but don't feel any different from a vibration standpoint and as far as the pinion, I don't know since it's never been checked but it still gives the same hot idle pressure as yours. The pump will probably eat itself the day after warranty expires.

Just shy of .003" cam side, built aug 06ish,warranty gone.Never wouldve known unless checked,no puking oil,no sumping,no noises. Not sure of comp side runout but its my problem now. Thx Hd you just sold me the last new bike I will ever buy from you!

I am also disappointed by these reports since I have an 07 RK. I had the 103 kit and SE 255 cams installed and no problems thus far. The engine actually runs much stronger than I thought it would. I'm running the SE air cleaner, V&H Fuelpak and V&H Ovals. Based on previous builds and other reports, I'm probably around 85hp and 100 ft lbs of torque.
Your post indicates you are also disappointed...but have you actually had any problems related to this issue? Are you expecting problems to develop later? The only thing I have heard is that the crank may "scissor" if you try a true high performance (high hp) build.
Anybody had any problems that can definitely be attributed to this runout issue? I'm just wondering if a lot of folks are getting worked up over an issue that is of no real consequence. I'm not knowledgeable enough to make that assessment...just asking those who are more knowledgeable for their experience and/or opinion.
