I seriously doubt it will hurt it any but,,,, It should be a lighter weight motor oil. I use bulk 5w30 oil that I get at work. I've been told that it's better to use a non synthetic oil in the primary. It's really just a chain in there... I'd change it since it is soo easy. Just get a quart of cheap-o 10w30 or something like that.

I doubt if it will hurt anything, but I just don't like AmsOil products. I used to use it in my '04 F150 and had to rebuild the engine after 60,000 miles. I believed what they said about going 25,000 miles between oil changes. It is pure BS and I don't know how they continue to get away with that.

I'm using Redline products. I've never heard that its bad to put synthetics in the primary. I used the Redline MTL and so far I really like it.

I wouldn't run out and get another product to change the primary fluid right now since you just changed it. But when it comes time for your next oil change I'd recomend something other than AmsOil. That's just my honest opinion.

Good Luck and Good Riding...

Wrong, There is also clutch discs in there too! This is where the damage will occur first. Yes to the wet clutch.

My opinion is that the gear oil you used may cause some problems with the clutch slipping. I would ride it and get it hot and drain it and replace it with the correct oil. I was using HD formula 1 until recently I went to Redline primary oil. JMO
