Default rear auxiliary run/brake lights

I installed the pn # 68230-97B for more rear lights to help to be seen better. They connect to the accessories switch under the seat. Is there a easy way to have them connected somewhere else so that I can still use my accessories switch for something else. I already have the y adapter under the seat but have my fan and had hoped to have my gps connected there.
Any ideas?
Jim

Just install the Run/Turn/Brake module. It turns your blinkers into brake and running lights along with directionals. I bought mine the day I picked up my bike!

You can run multipule "Y"'s and just connet them into each other. Or a trailer wiring connector that is inserted between the connector for your rear fender. Runs about $30 and has leads for run and brake lights as well as turn signals.

I wasn't sure if the system would handle that much of a load. Might go to LCD replacement bulbs and add a second Y adapter that would cut down on the wattage draw.
Thanks for the idea

According to my '04 HD Service Manual, the accessory connector circuit has a 15 amp fuse, so you could add the items you want and be fine electrically.

An alternative would be to remove the Deutsch connector and create a Y-adapter where your TP lighting connects to the harness on the bike.

I have the same on my 07 EGC, mine connected to the plug under the seat towards the front, the acc switch doesn't have anything to do with the lights, works all the time....run and brake...when bike is on, all rear lights are on. I don't understand why the acc switch would have any effect on them.

Same here for my 07 RG. I have a King tour pak and the HD led lights on the tour pak and bags. It all just plugs in and has nothing to do with the acc switch. The acc plug under the seat has 4 pins. On 07 touring models Pin 1 is hot when the ignition is on. Pin 2 is the brake light. Pin 3 is off the acc switch. Pin 4 is ground. I use the Y adapter because I use pins 3 and 4 on one plug for the GPS and pins 1, 2 and 4 on the other plug for extra lighting

The y adapter kit p/n is 70264-94A, $18 list price from HD. The instructions talk about switched accessories but the wiring diagram shows what all four pins provide. If you hook up your GPS you'll have to purchase parts to make a male connector that connects to the GPS power wires. I did this for my 07 RG and wifes 08 RK. I ran the GPS wires under the dash panel

I wired my GPS to the back side of the cigar lighter. Works great.

I bought this module the day I bought the bike. It is a great part and should be standard on every bike.
