Air Shocks for the front?

I hear some Touring bikes have/had air shocks on or in the front forks. I was curious to know does my Street Glide have them?

I am not aware of any fitting for the front air shocks. Where would it be?

If Touring bikes had them, what year did they have them what was the last year they were on the bikes?

Why did the MoCo drop them if they did have them in the front?

Jeff, no air to the front shocks on any current HD models.

I have air assisted forks on the front of my 2000 Roadglide. I think the ran them through 2001. I've heard that the new forks are better. They ran them for quite a long time but I'm not sure exactly when it started. My 87 classic had them.

I have air on my 88 FLHS but the front end on the 06 EG UC is a major improvement..

My 2001 FLHRCI has air to front & back but I would like to know what problems they had for them to stop installing them.

Didn't like them on mine, O-rings would leak, Solinoid and associated grounding block were all more points for electrical probs down the road.

Stripped it all off, redid the gounding block and all the associated wires, installed Progressive suspension springs and 30w fork oil. Rides great and was worth the day of wrenching.
