Lookin for some advise on pipes vs slipons...etc. Want something deeper and louder than stock but nothing thats gonna be louder than my stereo.
Any info would be appreicated.
wild pig pipes. and remember your radio is just above a whisper! call firecap501 and gety a arc audio setup. then it wont matter how loud the pipes are!
I put the Kuryakyn Crusher slipons on my 2007 Street Glide and added the 13.8 XiED's from Nightrider.com and a K&N direct replacement air filter.
Bike runs strong, sounds great to my ears and to others who have heard it and I still listen to my stereo unless my right wrist is cranked full stop!
There are many choices. Go to a meet somewhere and listen and ask. Most guys are proud to show off what they brung!
Not too many posts on the Kuryakyn Crusher slipons yet, so I thought I would add mine. I just finished putting them on to quiet the bike down from a pair of SE's with modified baffles. They are deeper - maybe the deepest I've heard. Deeper that the VH Monster ovals. They can be loud if you want them to be The only slipons with maybe a better sound IMHO are the Thunder Headers, but I like the look of the Kuryayn's much better.
95", 10.0:1, SE211s, SE Heavy Breather, VH true duals, dyno 92/95. up 6 hp and 4 tq from the modified SEs. Hope this helps.
