Just got a nail in my tire two weeks ago on a 150 mile trip. Plugged it at 11 o'clock at night and went to the Delmarva ralley for the weekend. (leaked a little over the weekend) I check the dealer at the ralley they wanted $325 tire and installation. I knew that was too much so i nursed the bike home. Once i got home ordered a tire (150 instead of the 140 from the factory) for $115 shipped and gave my local indy $30 for mounting the tire. F#%k the dealership they over charge cuz they can i know that but im not giving them my $ for service work unless i have to.
I had a rear tire replaced on my Ultra (no tube type)......
Skinny white wall, a break pad and wheel weights for $362 (U.S.)
Could I have got it done cheaper? Probably. Could I have done it myself?
Maybe (not for an hours labor though).
I was happy to getmy tire changed (I did not have a FLAT AND DO THE HULA THOUGH).......
I say "Hey...you survived and you got a new tire and tube. You had what? 9000
miles on the other and it was like 'new'? OK. Enjoy the new tire. Don't
go back to those RIP-OFFS!"
Had rear tubeless tire replaced on a road trip to Nova Scotia . Had it done at Ramsay's in Sydney Nova Scotia at a cost of $339.40 US . Happy to be back on the road again !
A couple years ago I had my bike towed to my dealer for a rear flat repair due to a nail puncture. The whole thing came to $85. A new tube was all they put in, tire was fine.

Don't go back to that dealership. He's the kind that inspires the word "stealer".
