Why is it that if your curser happens to cross the word "quote" or "get a quote" in the above message, you get a frigging popup from State Farm. Is the site allowing this spam crap?
If there is anything that can pinch the tube such as a hole or crack on the inner tire it will eventually work a hole in the tube. If they try to patch the tire the heat can still work the patch loose and cause problems. Always error on the safe side with a new tube and tire. Your life is worth it. I had a brand new Continental tire that had a round dime size crack defect and at 2000 miles it put me down in the 80's with a van going between me and the bike, not fun. Of coarse Continental denied any liability but I never bought another.
I've not been a fan of products in car tires, just usually get road hazard w/ new tires so I don't have to worry about it. But liking the RKCs w/ spokes, this is one of my concerns on trips.
Reading it, says it works on tubes and tubeless. Might help for smaller center of tire punctures, at least while on the road? (assuming you had already put it in of course)
At the 105th a saw a spoke wheel vender who has some kind of coating on the inside of the rim that allows for tubeless tires. At first I thought maybe it was some kind of silicon sealant but it was hard.
