Saw another tire thread, and someone posted this: http://www.ride-on.com/prod_mot.asp

Reading it, says it works on tubes and tubeless. Might help for smaller center of tire punctures, at least while on the road? (assuming you had already put it in of course)

Any thoughts?
A few years ago, I got a flat on High 1 on the Calif Coast - had Hogg tow and that was fine, just took forever - just happen to have the wheel/tire coverage on my ext insurance so it was all paid for the the time it took really got me to thinking/looking for a 'plan B' I found Ride-on tire product http://www.ride-on.com/test_motorcycle.asp I spent a lot of time reseaching this product and decided to use it... I had it in Both my tires for the life of both tires with out ever really needing it - In April I was getting ready for a Coast to Coast and it was time for new tires... I told the guy at my dealer I had this product in my tires... He just 'rolled his eyes' after it was ready I ask the mech how it was - he said the ride-on was NO problem at all inside the tire and wipped off the rim with a wet rag. After the new tires - More went into to both front and rear -

Getting a flat on the road and getting towed to the closest Dealer that can help you - your just stuck with what ever they charge - said but true. What a person might do is on the way, make a call and ask the prices - this way at least you get a feel and not there at the counter and they know they have you by the ***** AND just maybe there is another dealer close by.

I finally went over to the dark side and got a Zumo GPS - found a web site and downloaded ALL the HD dealers in the US and Canada - with one touch of a button, I will bring up all the dealers close to my current location with phone numbers - while your waiting for the tow - time to make calls. Who knows, it just may help out - can't hurt.

BTW - below is a cut/past from my Visa Card statement - This was for BOTH front and rear tire mounted/balanced - I Removed the wheels and broght them in - and then took them home and installed them on the bike my self - just for comparision for cost on two new tires mounted and balanced

i just had front &rear tires and tubes installed on my heritage at my indy.he also checked rear brake for me because it was mahing a noise. out the door for everything was $482.23. it was 2 hrs labor .the local dealer would have been abot $100 more. i also could have saved some labor costs by removing them myself but dont have equip for that.
