Flat tire...$485 bucks!
Saw another tire thread, and someone posted this: http://www.ride-on.com/prod_mot.asp
Reading it, says it works on tubes and tubeless. Might help for smaller center of tire punctures, at least while on the road? (assuming you had already put it in of course)
Any thoughts?
Getting a flat on the road and getting towed to the closest Dealer that can help you - your just stuck with what ever they charge - said but true. What a person might do is on the way, make a call and ask the prices - this way at least you get a feel and not there at the counter and they know they have you by the ***** AND just maybe there is another dealer close by.
I finally went over to the dark side and got a Zumo GPS - found a web site and downloaded ALL the HD dealers in the US and Canada - with one touch of a button, I will bring up all the dealers close to my current location with phone numbers - while your waiting for the tow - time to make calls. Who knows, it just may help out - can't hurt.
BTW - below is a cut/past from my Visa Card statement - This was for BOTH front and rear tire mounted/balanced - I Removed the wheels and broght them in - and then took them home and installed them on the bike my self - just for comparision for cost on two new tires mounted and balanced
