Default Antenna

I have a 2006 Street Glide. How much can I cut off of the antenna without losing and reception. I was thinking about 4", that way it won't poke me or the wife in the face.

Thanks,

Brewgod

I cut 15 inches off the AM-FM antenna on both the 05 and 07. I couldn't see any difference. Or for $30.00 you can get the new fiberglass whip from Harley.

I picked up the rubber bendable(sp?) antennae from auto zone for about $20. No problems with reception and only stands about 10 inches or so. Saved a couple bucks over the stealer price.

Cut mine down to 18" ... works fine. If you have a CB don't cut it or you'll cook the CB radio.
