Default Road King Quick-Release Windshield

I have an '03 RK with a quick-release windshield, which I can't get to stop vibrating. Any recommendations (other than replacing it with a fixed mount windshield)?

have you checked the nylon gromettes?
They might be worn...
See if you can narrow it down to which side and then where its comming from...
That is if you havent allready tried it...
Good luck

Thanks for the feedback, but if anything I think that it may be the quick release "springs," which work themselves up off the gromettes ever so slightly, which then causes the vibration (on both sides, altough worse on one).

Don't have a RK, but wanted to welcome you to the forum.

It doesn't look as though the springs are much more than "clamps" which keep the windshield from being pulled off unless sprung upward. My vote would be to replace the docking hardware which is supposed to dampen those vibrations. I'd also check to torque of all the windshield hardware itself.

Check to make sure you have it mounted correctly on the bike. What I mean by this is make sure it is on there squarely and both mounts are where they should be. You also might try taking it off and then putting it bacl on again. I have a RK standard and don't have any problem with vibration here in windy Wyoming.
