HK CD skip problem may be fixed

Default HK CD skip problem may be fixed
I was having problems with my CD player skipping. I downloaded the new 7.8 HK software and updated my stereo. I went for a nice couple hour ride today and the CD I was playing did not skip through pretty much the entire CD. I think this fixed it. I have never been able to listen to an entire song before. I'll keep you posted. If anyone needs the files I have them. Just email me and i'll send them to you or you can download them from HD's websight.

Mine's in today for the 1000 mile service. I told them about the skipping CD. Mine doesn't skip it stops then restarts. Like no power to spin the CD. I checked my version of the program and have the latest. 7.8. Might need to reinstall the program. So far every CD I have put in has stopped then restarted.

Maybe I better put a CD in mine and try it very seldom listen to the radio. I just like to listen to the V-Twin do it's thing.

Mine hasn't skipped since the reflash....knock on wood....that was about 350 miles ago.

Right, Mine seems to be ok Know. I had said it was skipping however the skips were more like a start and stop.

How do you update this?

How do you know what version you have?

I looked on the HD website and saw nothing???
