I haven't used it yet, but S100 sells a product that comes in a spray can with a nozzle that looks like it has a Q-tip on the end of it, and it is supposed to make the black wrinkle painted engine parts look like they did when the bike was new....and it is supposed to protect the surface as well......its also heat resistant...?
Has anyone tried this stuff yet???
I have heard many good reviews on the Pig Spit, but never tried it yet.
For my inner fairing I have been using "303 Aerospace Protectant", and its always worked ok. I also use it on any other black plastic or rubber I want shine up.

+1 on the 303... I used it for several years on my boat and bikes. The stuff works real good.
The S100 product works very well.
For those of you who plan to finish what Harley missed by painting your inner fairing, be careful about using silicon products. They can make it difficult for good results when painting.
How does this stuff work on the silver painted engines? I have been getting a bit of brake dust and road grime building up on the front part of my engine cases. This is the first bike I have had with a silver engine as all the rest of them have been black.

Protect All is not good on the engine. I use S100 or Pig Spit. Both these are clear sprays that leave the surface protected so grime does not stick. To clean I use S100 engine cleaner. Avoid Simple Green unless you dilute it a lot because it is a harsh cleaner.
Rule . . . always start with the most mild cleaner and work your way up.
