It is legal to lane split in TX, though there area lot of rules governing it. You can only go 5 mph faster than the surrounding traffic and it is only legal if the other traffic is moving at < 20 mph.

Used to lane split on my Ducati in Europe all the time with no problem. Did it last week on my RK and it was a little tight but again, no problem. Just have to tip the bike from side to side.

I've seen Europeans lane split in France and in Holland, but they're mostly riding the tall dual sport tourers with a top box and no side bags. You seldom saw side bags on a European bike, and it was obvious why (of course, they're highways and roads are a lot narrower than ours).

Some folks do it and many folks don't.

LMFAO (an inside joke, sorry folks) :<)

All kidding aside. It's not bad to do but can get a bit hairy if you have the hard bags on.

ha..next time you have an opportunity to fly into LAX, rent a bike and hop on the 405 North at about 4pm..

sitting in bumper to bumper traffic getting your *** roasted, or getting run over by some numbnutz on their cell phone is foolish.

Its legal in some places, and if done carefully and correctly is safe, or at leat safer than sitting on the road IMO
