Can anyone tell me what is involved in installing a twr missing-link. What has to come off, etc

Have a look around here using Search for 'stabilizers', as there have been several threads on these. I have a TrueTrack on my Glide and can guarantee you won't be disappointed when you fit your 'missing link'!

Here is one you might find helpful:

Sifularson did a write up on installing his with pics. I was able to install mine in a few minutes. I only loosened the exhaust, but didn't have to remove it. You have to take off the right rear passenger floorboard mount and the plate in which it mounts too. Then you have to take out some bolts on the tranny pan. Not hard or time consuming at all.

Don't waste time "loosening" the bolts on the exhaust, just take the bolts off. You don't have to take the exhaust system off, but you have to drop it enough to get to the lower bolt on the swingarm bracket. Most of us go around three times loosening stuff till we get all the bolts off & lower the exhaust. Just take the bolts off the first time around & save yourself some time. Other than that the instructions are perfect & the install is easy. The results however are phenomenal!
