I think I would go with the oil temp gauge thou.

I got something very similar to that and it came stock on my scoot. It's called a Speed-o-meter and it works great. 
I swapped out my air temp gauge with an oil temp gauge.

I would have loved that, but I already went with the "Oil Temp Gauge".
But it was extremely expensive:
Oil Gauge $130
Kit to intsall $60
Labor (1 1/2 hr) $100
That's $290 just to know it really isn't all that hot. SHHEEEZZZEEEE
