I thought I read somewhere that the rear signals on a Road King could be converted to running/brake/signal using front signal housings on the rear. Of course, now I can't find the information. I want to convert the rears and use the Cadillac lenses. I know that the MOCO as well as many others make a conversion kit. Those kits don't do what I want. If you have any infromation or pics of the Cadillac lenses installed please post. Thanks.
I did that conversion on an FXR once (the tail/brake/signal light conversion, not the cadillac lenses). I had to put front signal housings on the rear because the original rears didn't use dual element bulbs. You have to have dual element bulbs to have tail/brake/signal functions with a single light.

I think that one or two of the tail / turn signal lamp conversion companys make a module that takes care of this, I've heard of more expensive models then the H-D one that I'm using, which does not have running lights!
You can pick up a set of front turn signal lamp assy's cheap enough on e-bay that I've also done for a rear conversion. I just didn't want to mess with another plug in unit under my seat for the moment.
If you want to convert, be careful with the light assy's you get, some front units that I've see only have (2) wires. The unit needs to have (3) one for ground return, one hot for run, one hot for blinking.
I've had the Kuryakyn and the H-D run brake turn modules. On both of them, the two outer running lights were so much brighter than the center light that is was difficult to tell the difference between the running light and the brake light. At least that's what some fellow riders told me.
I had the Kuryakyn module first. Ran it for about 18 months and it took a crap. Left turn signal began to operate as a 4 way flasher. So I took that off and tried the H-D unit. Ran that for a while and then did the conversion using a pair of front light housings.
