bertk: Great post. You mentioned removing the wires from the Molex connectors. Did you extend the wires before reinstalling? Were you able to reinstall the connectors at the original position in the fairing? You also included the pages fromthe Service manual for crimping new pins for the Molex connector. Did you replace the pins or reuse the old ones?

Alot of questions. I'm working my way thru installing Wild One 575's. Same installation in this case without TBW. Slightly different bars.

Thanks for the info

I would go with the Khrome Werks Wide Sweeper +2. You will need the +3 clutch cable according to the Khrome Werks folks. I have the sweeper +2 on my Roadglide and really like the looks and feel.

No, I did not extend the wires for the handlebar controls.

The connectors for the controls had to be relocated. If I had it to do over I would most likely get the extensions.

There's no crimping needed. Using the instructions (page A.10 in the 08 manual) in the Service Manual the pins can easily be removed from the Molex connectors, then reinserted for running the wires internally. Just make note of the pin locations.

No problem, keep the questions coming.

follow up to my 12-15-2008 post:

The WO575 bar swap turned out to be a great project. Purchased wire extensions from NAMZ. Probably didn't need to if I didn't care about reinstalling the connectors in the orginal fairing position. Made one splicing mistake that took a while to correct. Hadn't read this thread in a while. I don't actually remember noticing the wrist angle change with the WO575. Guess it wasn't noticable.

Great bars. I wouldn't do anything different if I had to do it all over again.

i like my 575 wild ones. I have them on an 07 street glide and can still use the inner fairing mirrors. The harley ones are 1" diameter and look like juck to me.

New to this forum but have read it many times regarding the WO 575's. I needed a couple inches more pull back to get rid of the pain between my shoulder and neck. (bad back as well)
I just had my dealer install them on my 09 SG with ABS. They charged me 3 hours labor plus a +4" clutch cable. Stock TBW wiring and brake lines worked just fine. Thought you'd like to know.

Hope you like the bars. Surprised about the stock brake lines. 3 hours could be a world's record however without having to extend the wiring that would reduce the amount of time required. Good luck with them.
