Wondering if anyone has been running their touring bike with the Rush 2.0 baffles without any other upgrades. How has your performance been? Any excessive popping on decel? Any loss of power? Thanks for your time and help.
I have 2.0's on mine and no other upgrades at this time, I was just commenting today about how good they sound. I have no decel popping at all and I honestly will say this is my first Harley and it has got plenty of power. I am wondering about my gas mileage because I filled up at about 150 miles on my second tank?
Wilson look at these. These mufflers are made by Fuelmoto USA. They used to make the baffles for Rush. I have the mufflers that have the 1 3/4" on left pipe and 2" on right pipe. They have a awesome deep mellow sound at cruise, but bark when you crack it. I have them on my '07 FLHX and really like them.

I also have the asymetrical setup baffle setup from Fuelmoto. The left baffle has a restricter plate welded on the inlet that makes the setup perform like a 2 into 1. Not much exhaust exits the left muffler. I had Rush 2.5 baffles when I first bought the bike. WAY TOO LOUD. I then got Rush 2.0 baffles and it was a little better (still loud) and my gas mileage was about 38. I switched to the asymetrical setup and I noticed a definite difference in bottom end power but the best part was my gas mileage went to 43 and my plugs are a very light tan. The sound is nice deep throaty but not obnoxius. I can hear the radio just fine at hwy speeds. I also have the SE breather and HD download.
I've had the 2.0 for a about a month now. Love the sound but since the bike was so new, I can't comment about performance change. I haven't experienced any popping or cracking.
My '09 SG is the second bike I've had with the 2" Rush slip-ons. I did do the SE Stage 1 Air Cleaner and the dealer download. To me, having done this twice now, it's the best sound and bang for the buck I feel I could have done... And yes, I'd do it all over again. It's not that money is or isn't an object, but I just don't see doing anything else to the bike right now (2009 SG). I've had previous bikes with D&D Fat Cats, Rinehart True Duals, Vance & Hines, etc., some pretty nice sounds. I just happen to like what HD did with their exhaust (moving it around to eliminate heat) and happen to like the look, so I just did the Rush slip-ons and couldn't be happier. ;-)
Yep, I have the 2.0" Rush 'baloney cuts'.......I ran these for a
couple thousand miles before installing the SE heavy breather,
which added a little more depth to the growl.
I have them on my 07 EGC. I like the sound but would like to go with 1.5
working nights I need to tone it down leaving and coming at late hours...
anyone wanna trade baffels??? 2.0 for 1.5
