Default Instructions

Wonder who the A hole is at HD who wrote up the directions for the '09 riders adjustable back rest mounting kit.....

Glad I have a little mechanical ability and some common sense. Those instructions are so confusing a cave man couldn't do it!!!

Finally got it on with my pillow touring seat, rear docking kit and detachable sissy bar. Just by sitting on the bike, I think the seat and backrest will eliminate my lower back pain.

I also used the Accessory Switch connection in front of the battery for my garage door opener. Got the female connector and pins at the HD dealer. Works like a charm.

Did you use the HD garage door opener or just a regular opener.

H-D has out sourced all instructional material that gets packaged with anything they sell. All they do is translate it back into english and print it and package it when its returned.

I have to pull the paper work on the opener. It's a small black box with a hot and negative wire and a wire antenna. I had it on my V-Rod. I bought it on e-bay about 4 years ago for under $40.
