Anyone experiencing this might try, as one poster mentioned, leaning forward a little to see if it relents at all. Notice I said "LEAN" forward, not "PULL" yourself forward with your arms.
The reason is, that if you are accelerating fast enough or have poor enough posture on the bike and are actually "hanging on" to the bars, the wind buffet will cause a wobble effect. This is actually you creating the wobble, not the bike.
I stumbled across this once by accident on a very long trip where I was exhausted and "hanging on" just to get where I was going.
I've owned 3 Harleys (00,03,05) and never experienced a wobble or anything of the sort but after reading about peoples experiences with the stabilizers I had to try one (Bagger Brace). It's the best $300 I've spent on my bike and I won't even admit to myself how much I've spent.
Since I got my 08 FLHT I have reading on this forum about high speed wobble on baggers. I've got 12,000 mi now and mine is solid as a rock in tight sweeping high speed turns. I got back from riding the dragons tail last month and no problems. I have tried to get a wobble on some decreasing radius entrance ramps on the expressway (90 plus mph) and no problems. Is it just the ultras with the tour pack and more weight? or am I just lucky?
For all who have posted above and have never experienced a wobble I say Thank God. It's something I don't wish on any rider.
I personally have experienced it while traveling over a bridge on a windy day. I think a cross wind started it. This was not a subtle feeling but a definite pronounced wobble which felt like the wheels were coming off with the handlebars shaking back and forth. Scared the crap out of me.
Since I installed a True Track I have not experienced it since.
Wobble is REAL and does exist!

I do not think it is common at all. I have been riding Harleys for 38 years and have never experienced the wobble myself or saw the wobble on any of the many bikes I have rode with. My current bike, 08 Ultra, is probably the most solid, best riding, bike Ive ever owned.
+1 I Agree... I've been riding HD for 40+ years and have never felt a wobble
and I don't ride like a sissy! My current Putts '01 RKC & '07 RG????
16K (9K this year) on the RKC. The only wobble I've seen is on those metal grate draw bridge surfaces. I don't know why but those things give me white knuckles. Other than that it's been rock solid.
I bet you probably see it on high milelage bikes with worn out swingarm bushings and motor mount rubber. That would probably have an effect on the alignment. Unfortunately, everything made by the hands of man, wears out.
