I painted my inner fairing on my 09 SG. The mc is Hot Crimson Sunglo so I wanted some contrast so I had it painted vivid black.

Adding the paint to the inner fairing is one of the simplest ways to make your bike look completely different and new...I have an 06 Rich Sunglo Blue, had the inner painted to match...

 

how do you get the ignetion off for future refrence when I do mine?

 

It's explained in the HD Service Manual for your bike. It's a different procedure for pre-'06 bikes and later models. Make the HD Service Manual for your bike the next accessory you buy--honestly, at least 50% of the "HELP" threads are answered in the Service Manual--and an equal amount of the "What did I do wrong/why isn't this working like it did before" are the result of guys doing work without the Service Manual.

Just picked up my 09 SG and everybody seems to be painting the inner fairing, does anybody know of one being made in carbon fiber?
