I just got a pair of these - Chippewa Men's 12" 'Rally' Euro Motorcycle Boots - Black - from www.BootBarn.com. They are great both for riding as well as walking around in when off the bike. These boots are all leather with a soft full leather liner. Both boots have an additional leather piece across the top for shifting. I usually have trouble finding a boot that is comfortable (haven't found a Harley boot worth buying) but these fit well right from the get go (no break in required). Also, BootBarn.com was excellent to deal with. Note: Chippewa is owned by Justin Boot.

Dont know about boot barn, but I can agree on the boot !! excellent boot!!
I wear my old work boots, Danner. Kinda pricey, but then again, I used them on my old job. $160.00
+1 on the Danners.....the best boot that ever came down the pike! The Super Rain Forrest kick a$$ but will run you about $250. I have several pair of Danner boots, and the Super Rain Forrest are the ones I use for riding. I always buy their "stitch down" styles.....made right here in the USA (Portland, Ore.) they are the more expensive line, but when it comes to my feet and ankles....I want the very best I can find. http://www.danner.com/home.do
Go to your local farm store, tsc, rural king, etc and you'll find a nice pair of boots. I dont think buying a pair of shoes or boots is smart to do without trying them on first.
I figured out the boots I wanted them ordered them from these guys.
They were quick and cheaper....and an easy exchange policy ( I needed a wider size than I thought).
I just bought the HD boots. Gore Tex with the zipper and the laces. I bought them just before I did a 2400 mile trip and they are great. Rode in the rain and had dry feet and very confortable to walk in. No problems. Pricey but very good.
5.11 tactical boots ftw. You can get them in black as well as tan. They come in side zip and lace ups. Also weather proof and warmer weather boots. I have worn a pair of zip-up 5.11s here in iraq and have done so much walking in them, they are really comfortable. I shipped them back home to use as motorcycle boots.
