+1 on Cruiserworks! Once you get them exactly how you want them, you don't need to replace them... just resole. GREAT product. I can ride in a downpour and my feet do not get wet. Of course, the rest of me is soaked... but, boots are dry inside... no matter what!

I always buy their "stitch down" styles.....made right here in the USA (Portland, Ore.) they are the more expensive line, but when it comes to my feet and ankles....I want the very best I can find.

the danners have a 1 piece inner goretex lining. nowhere for the cold air to get in. and waterproof to boot (hehehe, wasn't meant to be a pun)

Are right, i have the answer on this. Good weather i have a pair of doc martens that they dont make anymore and there great. But the all around best boot i have ever had are a pair of Sidi boots. They go above the calf with 4 velcro wraps from ankle to top of boot. the inside of the boot says Sympatex and they are waterproof (put them in the bathub when i bought them over night, no leaks) and they are the best thing i have ever bought for by body. Go to Sidi.com, they should still have them listed. 40,0000 miles and still love them. Best money ever spent. Any questions just PM me and i'll help.

+1 on the Farm Supply, Quality Supply, or any other Store where you can put your feet in em, walk around, and test em before you buy em.... Comfort and protection are number 1. Plus, I like the slip on for the same reason stated earlier. No wind or breezes coming through on those chilly mornings/evenings when you're out riding.

I gotta tell ya... I have a couple pairs of boots, but the ones I wear all the time now (2 years so far) are a pair of Herman Survivor leather/nylon combat-style boots I got from Walmart 2+ years ago. Waterproof, lightweight, comfortable enuf to wear all day long... and they were something like $60 or so... I was skeptical, but when these finally wear out, there will be another pair of the same ones under my bed.

I have two pair that I really like, one is Carolina brand work boots good tall heel and a very thick tread pattern, the other is a brand called SWAT these are supposedly what Swat teams wear (I don't know if that's true) they look more like a modern combat boot and the heel is lower than the toe part of the boot, they are very comportable to walk in plus they are easy to get on and off because they zip up the side.
