Hand grips and levers
Has any body changed out their levers and grips themselves? I've changed out on my 02 fat boy but i dont know anything about the 08 sg. I was told when i bought it new that there is no throttle cable. I wanna put new grips and levers on. Is this easy like the older bikes? I hate the harley stores. Rip off!!!

Throttle grip needs gearing to accept the "Throttle by Wire" module, but other than that it's the same. Kury. makes the "Iso Grips" that will work, & by now there may be others. Levers should be the same as earlier Harleys.

very easy to change grips on '08. Did both grips on bagger in about 20 minutes. Make sure to use cardboard on brake lever, as not to ruin plunger. I put on HD Nostalgia grips, dealer service guy told me "good luck" when I asked him about it. Was just his way of being peeved to lose out on 1 hr of service for 20 minute job.

The levers on '08s and '09s are different from the older ones. Be careful.
