I have an 8 gig (20 bucks on sale at Office Depot) and it holds over 1000 songs. I saw a 16 gig when I bought this one. Who knows how big they go.

I have MP3s on CDs in my bag but haven't used them yet. The unit comes with a rain cover that wont allow the thumb drive to be used, so in wet weather I will pop in a CD instead.
Good thinking on the USB drive. I have been contemplating what stereo system to install and I think I just made up my mind. $550 is reasonable for a system like that and I've been waiting for an excuse to take a peek behind the fairing. Now, where did that extra $550 dollars disappear too?

dont worry bout the rain, havent used my cover for 41,000 miles... keep the drive in and ride..
