I ride lotsa miles and will say it , aint bragging if ya done it , and nope no HOG miles here ..

Is funny that people say you're bragging about miles , and they have to let you know how many grand they just spent on bling ..

Same difference , you spend it on bling , I spend it on gas , oil , and tires ..

Except no one mentioned a thing about "bling". I had a photo of the mufflers I was selling to accompany the ad in my signature to sell the mufflers. They sold today and I then changed my signature and that photo. Sorry if he dosn't like my opinion about racking up miles just for the sake of the miles themselves but I am entitled to my opinion, just as he and you are entitled to yours too. But lets keep the facts straight here. There was no BLING in my signature, nor any bragging about bling.

Lastly, I gotta say that Tyroneshoelaces Avatar is worth posting here, just to see her again..

No hog miles here, about 18k miles in the 5 month riding season. Live in NE ohio:
Rode out to the Grand Canyon, and through NM and Tx with buds for two weeks
Rode to New England for 10 day vacation with the wife
Rode to Gettysburgh for Bike week with friends
Rode to DC to meet up with friends to ride.
Rode to SParta NC to meet up with friends to go riding
Rode to lower Illinois -HogRocktober
Rode to Effingham, Ill for HDF get-together
Many weekend trips into southern Ohio to ride

Not bragging, making the point that I love to ride and will ride most anywhere and very often as the snow sets in early and lasts a long time around here.

There are many others that do the same. For those that have a bike in the garage that is three years old and hast passed the 5k mile mark, good for you, you are saving gas but missing out on what I consider one of the best ways to have fun, see the country and to meet interesting people.

I really dont care what others think about mileage, I do what brings pleasure to the wife and I.

The point is that you thought it was your duty to make a smart a@@ comment. You are the one that made this an issue. Yep, I am proud of the wonderful 21K+ I did this year. If I was bragging, I would say, "I did it....and you didn't." I don't care if you rode 1 or 50K. 1 mile on a bike is far better than 100K in a cage. You, in your wisdom, deemed it appropriate to make it an issue. Glad you sold those pipes, they were really cheap looking.

Go reread my response as it was my OPINION! You obviously took my opinion as a direct blow to your ego and now I understand your mentality. You need that mileage award to be somebody. Then go achieve your merit badge for high mileage.

To each his own. I ride many miles each week (130 mile round trip to work), but the miles I enjoy the most are usually on the weekend. I have an '06 Mustang GT for bad weather, so I figure I'm blessed. If I split the miles between them they should both last longer. My two cents.

I don't think it's bragging about miles. Just making it obvious that you aren't the type that spends 20,000+ on a bike, keep it polished and loaded with bling, just so you can say you ride a Harley.

I know a guy that walks, talks and dress the biker part. Brags about all the extra's and how clean he keeps his bike. He has a 6 year old Fatboy and hasn't even put 10,000 miles on it yet.

Nothing wrong with that if that's what your into but let the guy brag about his miles and we'll know he rides it more than he washes it.
