Been watchin this thread for a while now and had a hunch it would all work out for you--very glad to hear it did. 1 tech at a dealer of mine in PA got hit on a customrs bike, and the car dragged him for 100 yards + right in front of the dealership! This fellow was off for 1 year--Andy is lucky--in the end it all worked out
Bummer about your SG DYNA Gramps.Glad the tech. will be ok too! It's also good to hear that the dealer is making good on the loss too. It seems that you will be coming out smellin like a rose with ending up on an Ultra which will be a sweet ride. Ride safe & enjoy the new ride.
Morning All. So far everything seems to be working out. The dealer has been letting us ride a 09 ULTRA loaner and it is a very cushy ride. I did not get into apissing match about the shiny extras on the bike that was wreaked. He offered a 09 ULTRA, My retirement date is 9-1-09 , My wife and I were planing a lot riding , Andy is going to be O.K. and I think he still has a job. On the way to look at the wreaked bike and talk to the dealer the very first time. The wife asked me what would make me happy. I SAID a 09 ULTRA. She laughed I laughed. Guys and gals If this ends like it looks like it is , ALL I can say is thank you Lord. I am not real religous but thanks. I had fought that SG with a pinging problem from day one, that is the reason it was being worked on! Hell of a way to get rid of a pinging problem but it worked . LOL I have not heard it on this loaner. And I hope it does not show up in the new one. Thanks agin Every one. My grandson is going to come over and show gramps what I am doing wrong with uploading pics!
Well we will pick up our new 09 Ultra Classic Red sunglow in 7-10 days! In the meantime We are riding a 09 Ultra Classic loaner. I can not say how great we were treated! Gramps + Grams
Sounds like they are doing the right thing.
Maybe I should talk the wife into moving to Tucson, if that's they way people act out there.
Geez, how about give the dealer a chance to make it right before calling a lawyer? If the owner of that business is as intelligent as I think he (or she) probably is then they will make it right. A brand new bike? I don't see why, it wasn't a brand new bike that they damaged. Now, if a suitable replacement can't be obtained then a new bike with upgrades would be in order.
I run a successful auto repair shop and I know very well that, unfortunately, sh*t happens, that is when you find out what kind of business you are dealing with.
Be very clear and reasonable about what you expect and I doubt you'll have much trouble. Good luck.
Great ,this is the second time in as many months that I have seen the dealer give someone a bike after they wrecked it.
Glad everything and everybody will be okay.
