at a toy run yesterday i was talking to my nephew, a GW rider, me a UC , he was puting on a reflected vest , he is also a policeman ,i said i hope the law does not make all rider start to wear them ,he said why ? ,i said it takes your ID away from you as a biker, and to express youself as to the kind of bike you own, he said as long as you are seen so what ,, now i agree we need all the saftey we can get ,but i put it this way to him,put one GW RIDER's BIKE IN A WALMART LOT you cannot go in and find that rider, put a HD rider's bike on the lot you CAN find him in the store , by the way he / she is dressed, all other bike riders other than a HD rider HAVE NO ID as to what brand they ride!! WE DO !! the toy run was safe and we had a state trooper escort all the way a 60 mile loop in to two towns and the town local PD heiped also . but it was a cold ride .
I have to laugh because sooo many guys 'strive" to look exactly like the next guy. For a group that claims to be free and abide by no rules, there shure is an awful lot of conformity and peer pressure going on, isn't there? Could it be because the ones who cave to the peer pressure and conformity are really pretenders? I do think that is a part if it. "Wild Hogs" forever!! Besides, what self respecting Harley Rider would get caught dead in a Walmart anyway? That's a dead give away right there...
be carefull or I'll break out my "reflective vest" and then you'll see...
Hey, my HOG Chapter just started offering reflective HOG Patches for the back! Somebody better tell them that they'll be associated with the Gold Wingers now!
Hey bud, it's a message board so you can act with all the bravado as you want here and no body will spank you for it. If this is where you can get to be a man, go for it...
(By the way, is that "regulation" hard core harley rider approved used underwear on your head there? What happens if somebody yells "SWITCH!!" )
I don't have a Harley jacket and I was in Walmart last night. $4.00 for cholesterol pills leaves more money for chrome and you can't beat the price for 9ml. ammo.
If they passed a law to make riders wear reflective vests I don't think you would have to wear it to walk into walmart, your HD clothing could still be seen. I go into walmart alot because it's all we have where I live and I always see lots of people with HD shirts that I know don't own one.
