Once you hear your new system with some good rock it will make you forget about the com system. The system sounds so cool you will find yourself making excuses to ride just so you can listen to your favoritr tunes. It really is that good!
Without knowing what the 09 frame looks like, could the amp be mounted in a space under the battery box Like the older frames? That would keep from adding weight to the front forks as well.
That is the main reason I am waitng. I will wait until some one comes up with something as I would like to add a Sirius radio. Don't like XM, too much talking for me.
I have wondered if you could put the amp under the tour pak. Mounting would not be a problem, that's what I do on the side is make custom mounts.
Jim
I installed it on a Street Glide with the XM module. I had to move the XM module underneath the radio to make rom for the AMP on top of the radio. Once I moved it eveything went together with no problems. Unfortunately I did not take pciture of my install but I fed the XM module in behind the wire harnes and use velcro to attach it to the underside of the radio. I also wired tied it to the wiring harness for extra security
Good luck.
This is what I would recommend. Velcro the modules under the HU.
The amp will not fit under the radio of the 09's with the frame change. Mounting the amp inside the fairing adds very little weight to the fairing, and it was desgined to go in the fairing, people who dynamat their fairing add more weight doing that then adding the amplifier.
XM is running sirius programming
It will not fit in the battery box, it is small, but not that small. You guys feel free to give me a call with and all of your questions. 405-343-5050
