I now how you feel, I got vivid black and pollen yellow night train right now, but after a wash is only black until I ride again or leave the garage door open.
Actually a bike's propensity to collect dust is related to the chemical nature of the local air combined with the bike's electro-magnetic traits, which vary from bike-to-bike. (I've got a bridge for sale also, located on some ocean front property in Sturgis)
Hey how about spraying the bike down with some Static Guard?
Ride it, and try not to fret too much about the dirt (I'm just as bad myself)
I'll trade you the ocean front property in Sturgis for a lifetime supply of dehydrated water.

We have a new black glide and have the same issue. Bought a mini "California Duster" and it works wonders, we use it daily! My dad uses one on his hotrod and all the car club guys swear by them. We love ours and it fits right in the saddle bag.
After having a Vivid Black Night Train, I went with Black Pearl on the Street Glide. The Vivid Black looks awesome when perfectly clean, but quickly shows dust and road grime - you have to stay on top of it if want it looking great all the time. The Black pearl is much more forgiving. I have found that baggers tend to pick up dust and dirt quickly on the rear and tops of the bags.
I went with black pearl RG for this same reason. And as stated, mini California Dusters are a must!
