Okay, let the fun begin. I have the tach on the speedo, and I have room for two gauges on the fairing... Don't ask why only two, it's a balance thing with me and the meds dont help... Now, I'm assuming oil temp is one, what is the other critical gauge I should add, and how about a suggestion for gauges? I'm not sure about the LED ones certainly not a problem seeing them, but I'm not sure the look is right for my bike.
OIL Pressure?
Cylinder Temp?
Perhaps a company makes a 2" multi gauge?
Oh yes, just to keep things straight, I already determined I don't need water temp... see... I'm learning.

Good call. Voltmeter makes sense... well my sig will be updated sometime in January. It's really not a RoadKing any more... now it's an Ultra wanna be... If you want to see pics send me an email, I can't figure out how to post them here.
Another good call, but temp seems to be an issue on the new bikes, so I thought it would be better to know if it was just getting too darn hot. Have the dipstick temp gauge and it seems to help, but it's tough to see while riding
Do you have the stock Harley inner fairing? If so, what are the other 2" gauges? I would assume fuel is one (well maybe not if you have a converted Road King). Regardless you should have room for 4 gauges, plus the two for speedo and tach. An FLHT came with the fuel and voltmeter gauge. I haven't seen a cylinder temp gauge yet (I guess a good idea for a newer 96" bike with the heat issues people keep talking about).
Personally I would say, fuel, voltmeter, oil temp and oil pressure personally. I wouldn't mind swapping out the air temp for an oil pressure gauge one day.
It's a DeadCenter fairing and I don't think I can comfortably fit more than two guages the way I have it set up... so you guys are thinking oil pressure is more advantageous than oil temp? Oil Pressure and Volt, is what I'm hearing.

+1 I've always run a oil pressure guage on any bike I've had; when the "idiot" light comes on you're already done. Oil temp for me is more of a "point of interest" type gauge but way more usefull than air temp (wtf were they thinking?) so I switched mine out. If you're running that hot you'll feel it in how you're running but as long as you still have pressure you're usually ok. Voltmeter is also great to have cause if you devlope a problem you'll notice it and can get to someplace where you can at least get the bike started again. Just my .02
