by your right floor board inside the cone..were the 3 inch circle that has/had the V2 logo..
this is the location of cam position sensor..look for goo melting out of hole on bottom of this cone..that is your cam position sensor..if it is original it probably melted,,
the way to check is to open that cap and look..if cover is original you drill out the rivits..
Found a short in a bundle of wire coming from behind the air cleaner. Guess it had to do with the fuel injection system. The wire was labeled F2. Repair the wire, check the fuse, it was blown. New fuse and it fired right up. Changed the oil and filter, and it runs like a champ. Thans for the help and advice.
Again, thanks for the help with the problem. Just getting into riding, so my lingo and knowledge is very limited. The son is ok cut his hand on our ping pomg table leg. Had to clean it up and strei-strip it while the bike overheated. But in the end a god ending.
